Subject: Martial Arts Instruction

If you can stand the 30-minute drive, I *strongly*
recommend John Beluschak's American Judo Hapkido Institute,
75 Clairton Blvd, Pleasant Hills, 653-6930.
Hapkido is very difficult to find (it is a Korean art comprising
techniques from Taekwondo, Judo, Aikido and Jujitsu. Extremely effective ).
To find such an outstanding instructor is a real rarity.
There are quite a few nuts out there offering martial arts instruction,
and quite a few inepts as well, so whatever you do be sure to shop around.
I think if you take the time to talk to this guy, you'll be sold on his
attitude. I trained Hapkido in Mississippi and Missouri for years,
even taught a bit; so give some weight to my evaluation here and check
this guy out. (No, I'm not training under Beluschak; grad-school's eating all
of my time. But I wish I were.)
