Subject: B&B in Lancaster Co

If you are looking for a place to stay in Lancaster County (PA) I would like
to suggest a place that we stayed this past weekend:
Runnymede Farm Guest House, a bed and breakfast.
 1030 Robert Fulton Hwy.
 Quarryville, PA 17566
 (717) 786-3625

It is in southern Lancaster County (just south of Quarryville) so it is not
really near the "action" of Lancaster. But then after seeing the gridlock
this past weekend in Lancaster I am glad we did not stay closer.

The guest area of the house is set up with three bedrooms, a bath, and a
sitting room all on one floor. We filled all three rooms with our small
family get together. The front porch was a real treat with the warm sun and
the cool breeze. The farm is right on Rt. 222 and so we could hear and see
the traffic, but then we could also watch the Amish buggies as they passed.
The house is adjacent to a couple of barns, 2 chicken houses and a couple of
fields. You get a real feeling that you are on a farm.

The people who run it are exceptionally friendly. They were happy to talk
about the area, the farm and their family. It was almost as if we became part
of their family for the weekend. And the breakfasts were GREAT, good food and
lots of it. I think they called it a farm breakfast, something that would
last you until past noon. This was a plesent change from other B&Bs that we have
stayed where the breakfast was a roll and coffee or it was a make-it-yourself
breakfast.
