Check out Forum Travel - it's on a side street off of North Craig,
on the right side when going a couple of short blocks up from the
Forbes and Craig intersection. (Found the address: 4608 Winthrop St,
tel: 681-4099).

Main atraction - they know how to deal with the discounts you can
get with an International Student I.D. card. You can get one of
those from the CMU Office of International Education (x7595, Smith
Hall 221 [this is the building partly surrounded by Hamburg Hall]).

Good luck,
-Tony

try world wise travel. I have been using them for 4 years. Ask
for Doris. She is very helpful. Dave is not.

I recommend Irene Strintzis at Tikka Tours, downtown. She seems very
knowledgeable and has always helped me get the cheapest flights within my
constraints, often spectacularly cheaper than other places. She teaches Greek
at Pitt, so she's often in Oakland and will come into CMU if need be to collect
money, deliver tickets and stuff. I used her to plan my flight to England at
Christmas and my trip to Czechoslovakia last month. She was recommended to me
by Bryan Loyall, and now all my officemates use her as well. The phone number
for Tikka Tours is 391-0413.

Happy travelling,
Jim

World Wise Travel is a good agency and I've dealt with them a lot over
the last couple years. I don't fly shaky airlines, so there may be
cheaper flights, but given my constraints, they have served me well in
the past.

I have used Tika's Tours and had very good experiences. The agency is owned
by two very nice ladies who know what's going on and always find me the best
deal (I know because I always ask more than one places).

I've always used World-Wise. I've found their prices to be the most
competitive, and the service is fantastic. They deliver your ticket
right to your office (where most agents deliver it to the department).
For international flights I always use Doris, she is the most knowledgable
on International of all I've spoke to.

I've had very good results with American Express - they have an office
over in the SEI building. Last summer they arranged a vacation trip to
England and Norway for me, and got a fabulous rate through some sort of
ticket broker (unchartered charter, I think it was called). -m-

The very best I have ever seen: Forun Travel, in 4608 Winthrop St. (just
off Craig, the second to last street to the right as you walk from
Forbes up to Fifth). 681-4099.

I've found Anne Egan to be reliable, and reasonably cheap. I don't
think they participate in the super-cheap, risky stuff like gray market
tickets, though.
