Its right on the main street (East Carson St. ?). If I recall correctly, the work was reasonably priced, too. I found there a place on East Carson -- Rynn's, I think -- to which I took the bag and the paperwork from SAS. The bag is an obscure brand and they had to order parts, but they knew how/where to order parts, and they took care of all the reimbursement paperwork. I seem to recall that there is a place that does luggage repair place in Oakland, on Craig St. (??) or a street parallel to Craig St. just north of Forbes. I don't remember what the store was for, but there was a sign in the window that advertised luggage repair service. Hope this helps, == Marco Subject: luggage repair Date: Tue, 29 Nov 88 11:28:40 EST From: Joseph.Tebelskis@F.GP.CS.CMU.EDU There is a place in Oakland, on Meyran (?) between Forbes & Fifth, that repairs luggage and shoes. I forget the name of the place, but they did a good job repairing my suitcase handle a few weeks ago, for a reasonable price. -- Joe Tebelskis From: Dean Jeffrey Grannes Subject: luggage repair Patrick, A few years ago, courtesy of a major airline, my luggage was damaged. My brand-new, soft-sided luggage was torn on the trip back here after Christmas break. I took it down to B B & B Travel Goods on 421 Smithfield St. downtown (phone # 471-1488). The people there were very friendly, and the service was good. The price for the work was also very good. I would recommend them as a place to go to get luggage fixed. Dean
