Subject: Do NOT get AMTRAK tickets from Rosenbluth Travel

I just have to flame to someone about this amazingly incompetent
place, namely ROSENBLUTH TRAVEL downtown. To be fair, they may be good
with air tickets, I don't suppose they do many train tickets any more.

I had an unreserved amtrak ticket from Pgh to Philly (the second half
of a round trip ticket). I wanted to switch this to a reserved ticket,
so I called up amtrak, and they said all that I would have to do would
be to go to a travel agent and they could swap the tickets for me. I
went to a local travel agent, and they said that since my original
ticket had been issued at a Rosenbluth in NJ, I'd have to see them.

Rosenbluth claimed multiple times that they couldn't do what I needed
them to do (despite my information from amtrak). I finally got them to
call amtrak and they worked it out. Of course, they didn't have it
totally worked out (it took another 3 calls to amtrak while I was
waiting in their office for them to get everything totally sorted
out.)

So I spent ages in their office waiting for this thing. The most
annoying thing is when I called them this morning I asked for Trish,
the person who I had dealt with yesterday. This was at 8:28 am. They
said, "Trish doesn't start here until 8:30, let me see if she left
anything on her desk (pause) ... (slightly muffled) Trish, there's
some woman on the phone about an amtrak ticket ... I told her you
weren't here ........." Enough said. If they can't even use a hold
button on a telephone, I'm not sure what they can do.
