Roadtripping in Search of the Technological
Future
"True Internet nirvana is a school like Pittsburgh's
Carnegie Mellon, where the network is not only fast but wireless".
Several CMU students were interviewed by Fortune
Magazine for this month's issue. Reporters from Fortune Magazine
travelled across the nation interviewing various college students
who were studying technology fields.

HOWIE
CHOSET CHOSEN in MIT Technology Review!
The June 2002 issue of MIT Techology Review unveiled the magazine's
annual "TR100", the 100 brilliant young innovators under 35
"whose work and ideas will change the world". We are delighted
to announce that HOWIE CHOSET, mechnical engineer and roboticist,
was among those honored.
The theme behind this year's TR100 centered on "transforming
existing industries and creating new ones" and looked for
"technology's impact on the real economy". Special "hot
spots" included information technology, biotechnology and
medicine, nanotechnology and materials, energy, and transportation."

"hidden" skills to the entire SCS community!! Take
part in the talent show and entertain us all! Exhibit your
photography and works of art, share a non-scs skill by teaching
us something special.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, Feb. 9th from
noon to 11.00pm in the UC. Check out the SCS-Day
web site and suggest a name for this to be memorable event!!
