University Announces project to produce and support an updated version of the Capability Maturity Model® for Software (SW-CMM®), a guide for improving software development and management processes that is currently used in more than 50 countries worldwide. CMM will be handled through researchers in ISRI.

Groundhog robot Red Whittaker, and Students in his Mobile Robot Development class have just successfully mapped the interior of an abandoned, long-flooded coal mine in south suburban Pittsburgh using the Groundhog Robot. "Amazingly" reports Red, "the robot emerged to map another day"!
