John C. Reynolds, Professor CSD, has been awarded the Programming Language Achievement Award from SIGPLAN (the ACM Special Interest Group on Programming Languages).

Edmund M. Clarke, Professor CSD, and co-authors, received one of only two Distinguished Paper of ICSE 2003 awards for their paper: Modular Verification of Software Components in C.

Stephen E. Cross, director and chief executive officer of the Software Engineering Institute (SEI), and Principal Research Scientist in the Robotics Institute has announced that he will be leaving Carnegie Mellon to become a vice president at Georgia Institute of Technology and director of the Georgia Tech Research Institute.
