Matt Mason, Professor, Computer Science
and Robotics, will become the new Director of the Robotics
Institute (RI) on July 1. Mason has been with RI since
1982 and is known throughout the world for his research on
robotic manipulation. He will be replacing Chuck Thorpe, who
has recently accepted the position of Dean of the Qatar Campus
