July 14th 31st		July saw the arrival of the newly designed SCS web site!!
August 7th 23rd 28th		August featured the CMPACK'02 as it kicked its way to victory in the Sony legged league at RoboCup 2002 in Fukuoka, Japan.
September 3rd 10th 16th 27th		September advertised Stephen Wolfram, Creator of Mathematica, who later gave The 2nd Annual Bruce Nelson Memorial Lecture with a talk entitled "A New Kind of Science"
October 1st 4th 17th 21st 24th 28th		October brought the first Annual Women@SCS Distinguished Lecture Series with guest Dr Robin Murphy, Director, Center for Robot-Assisted Search and Rescue, University of Sth Florida
November 1st 5th 8th 11th 15th 16th		November highlights included a Special Interview with James Morris, Dean of the School of Computer Science
December 9th 10th 19th		December saw the Carnegie Mellon programming team on its way to the finals of the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest !!
