The School of Computer Science invites all members of the Carnegie Mellon community to participate in The 19th Annual Carnegie Mellon Mobot Races, in spring 2013 (April 19!). Participants will race autonomous vehicles ("MObile roBOTs") they have built along a slalom-type course on the paved walk in front of Wean Hall.
The purpose of the competition is to generate technological excitement, provide hands-on experience for our undergraduates and community (including alums!), and showcase the cleverness and technical competence of our students and community members across divisions. We hope to stimulate inter-disciplinary activity toward producing mobots that are technically noteworthy.
The races will be followed by the annual 15th Gate Awards Ceremony and Wrap-Up, with contestants providing insights into their mobots and experiences (Rashid Auditorium, 3:00 pm).
