This seminar will feature brief talks by 3 researchers about some of their current work at the intersection of NLP and computational social science:

We will also provide a brief introduction to the field of computational social science, and all presenters will participate in an open discussion and Q&A session. We're aiming for attendees to learn about what NLP technologies are currently used in social oriented tasks, including where they excel and where they are deficient, as well as open challenges and research opportunities in the field.
