Hosted by the Wilton E. Scott Institute for Energy Innovation at Carnegie Mellon University, the CMU Energy + Cleantech Hackathon is an opportunity for collegiate students to tackle some of the toughest challenges facing leading energy companies and organizations. The Hackathon will take place virtually from 1-4 October 2021.
Students will work in interdisciplinary teams for 48 hours to combine their energy expertise, data analytics, business intelligence, and economic reasoning to solve a specific problem presented to them. Participants have the opportunity to engage with real-world energy data, network with energy experts, and win $2,250 in total prizes → First Prize ($1,000) → Second Prize ($750) → Third Prize ($500).
