Curious about a career as a quantitative researcher? Join our moderated panel discussion with PDT researchers to learn about their journey from academia to quantitative finance. They will discuss their career path, the interesting work that challenges them and their decision to leave academia for industry. Learn how a team of scientists, mathematicians and engineers with PhDs in Physics, Computer Science, Math, Economics, Statistics and Electrical Engineering develop trading strategies using uniquely scientifically rigorous approaches in an open and collaborative culture.
We will discuss how PDT and quantitative research compares to other industries, our academically driven research culture and how researchers use the skills from their graduate program to tackle interesting and challenging problems. This will be an interactive discussion and we look forward to answering your questions!
Our panel will include the following PDT Researchers:
Sudeep: Sudeep joined PDT after a postdoctoral position with the Center for Science of Information at Princeton University. Sudeep has a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley and a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay. Sudeep is now a researcher in our research community.
Gerald: Gerald joined PDT’s research community after completing his PhD in Management Science and engineering from Stanford University. His research was focused on methods for simulating of stochastic processes with applications to options pricing.
