Five SCS graduate students selected as Siebel Scholars

The scholars are Michael Benisch and Jana Diesner, both PhD students in the Institute for Software Research's Computation, Organizations and Society Program; Hsin Huang, a graduate student in the Human-Computer Interaction Institute, and Elijah Mayfield and Adam Skory, both graduate students in the Language Technologies Institute.

The Siebel Scholars program recognizes outstanding graduate students from the world's most prestigious business, computer science, and bioengineering graduate schools. New Siebel Scholars and program alumni comprise a unique and diverse community that brings together the best and brightest to solve some of society's most pressing issues. Based on academic excellence and leadership, five graduate students from 16 institutions are honored as Class of 2011 Siebel Scholars and receive a $35,000 award for their final year of graduate studies.
