Homeland Security Officials Discuss Cybersecurity, Announce PSA Contest

Randy Vickers, director of the U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's National Cyber Security Division, will be one of several speakers at a Cyber Citizen Forum at 4:30 p.m. Monday Nov. 8 in room 6115 of the Gates and Hillman centers. The program, part of DHS's "Stop. Think. Connect."  public education campaign, www.dhs.gov/stopthinkconnect, will include details about a new national Public Service Announcement Challenge that the department is inviting students to enter.

In addition to VickersRandy Vickers is the Director of the United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) within the National Cyber Security Division at the Department of Homeland Security. , speakers will include Magdalena Benitez, liaison for the National Initiative for Cyber Education at the National Institute of Standards and Technology; Keri Nusbaum, director of recruitment and development for DHS's National Cyber Security Division; and Tim Fraser, director of the "Stop. Think. Connect." Campaign.
