Mary Shaw, the Alan J. Perlis Professor of Computer Science, presented the keynote address, "Whither Software Engineering Education?" at the Conference on Software Engineering Education and Training in Honolulu, Hawaii. The CSEET is co-located with the International Conference on Software Engineering, where she and David Garlan, professor of computer science, are receiving the Outstanding Research Award from the Association for Computing Machinery's Special Interest Group on Software Engineering.
