F PRIME: Open-Source Software for Spacecraft & Raspberry PI

F Prime is a free, open-source flight software framework developed at JPL and tailored to small-scale systems such as small satellites/CubeSats, spacecraft deployables and instrument payloads. It is employed on a number of in-house flight systems currently in operations and development, including a research helicopter that could be included in future Mars rover missions. Flexible and adaptable, it has potential to be utilized on a wide range of embedded applications from sophisticated multi-core systems to low power microcontrollers. We see potential for it to support student projects as well.

At this workshop we will provide an overview of the F Prime framework and tools to run it on a Raspberry Pi, with a special incentive for those who choose to incorporate it in a project for <Raspberry>Pi : HackPi Week!
