Battle Tetris

Board Details:

• The board itself was made from 3/4" MDF wood
• The board was modeled in SolidWorks
• The SolidWorks file was loaded directly into the CNC Router's computer in the Drama workshop
• The board was cut on the CNC Router and trimmed with a table saw
• No other finishing was done

Manufacturing Problems:

• Before we could get the router to cut, we spent two hours setting up the code to make it cut right
• The main problem was the MasterCam software not being able to recognize our model as a 3D entity instead of just lines in space
• We also did not select the proper cutting style at first and this lead to errors
• Once we were able to orient the model in the proper place in the software and select the proper cutting styles and sequences, the model was cut in roughly 2 hours
